This Week in Toronto May 21 - 27

Woo! Bob Dylan week is going swimmingly. If you haven't checked out the last few weeks, and you're a Bob Dylan fan, then go back to Monday and read forward. I'll wait.

For everyone else, here's what you can do this week!

THURS MAY 21

Timber Timbre at Studio 6 (6 Nassau St)
Arts and Crafts newest edition is playing tonight at a venue I've never been to, also playing is the haunting Ghost Bees. So something for everyone. Come have a drink with me!

FRI MAY 22

Evening Hymns at Music Gallery (197 John St)
The Over the Top Festival has some great shows this weekend. Thursday nights Timber Timbre show for one. And this show featuring one of my favorites, Evening Hymns, and The Wooden Sky.

SAT MAY 23

Joel Plaskett Emergancy
at Massey Hall
Joel managed to do the impossible by releasing a 3 album set that doesn't suck. It's full of fantastic pop tunes. And he brings the magic of that album to Massey Hall this Saturday. Check him out now before he's playing shitty venues like the Molson Amphetheatre.

SUN MAY 24

9th Annual Bob Dylan Tribute at C'est What (67 Front St E)
Happy Birthday to Bob Dylan... and ME! You can come celebrate both at Cest What this Sunday. Featuring performances by: Dave Borrins, Noah Zacharin, Amy Campbell and Sarah Loucks. If you want to what Dave Borrins and I have to say about it (and hear us both perform a few songs) check out this podcast.

MON MAY 25

Dial M For Murder in 3D
at Bloor Cinema 4:30
You can get your Hitchcock fix at the Bloor Cinema this week. Monday screens the exciting Dial M For Murder in glorious 3D!! and on Tuesday....

TUES MAY 26

Psycho playing at Bloor Cinema 9:15pm
Nice! THE horror movie. One of the greatest scariest films of all time. The reason we have slasher films. Damn it, just go see it! You could also come early for the 7pm showing of Dial M for Murder... in 3D!!

WED MAY 27

Kensington Prairie at Grafittis
This is the last of a 4 show run, and if you haven't gone out to see them, then my oppinoin means absolutely nothing to you. Sigh.
