This Week In Toronto (Abridged)

Ok, so I'll get up the full week of this week in Toronto tonight, I promise.  Due to time constraints, I'll give you the events for tonight, and then please check back later tonight, or tomorrow for the rest of the week, k?  Thanks.  That's why I love you... oh and in case you're curious, right now, I'm listening to Elvis Costello's great album My Aim is True.  Heard it? Check out this video of him performing Allison.

THURS AUG 8

Shuffle Demons as part of Sound Bites lunch Hour concert, First Canadian Place (77 Adelaide West) 12:15 Free!
The Shuffle Demons, as demonstrated in this video, are awesome.  A whole bunch of Tenor Saxes rockin' out like it ain't no thang.  And it's free, and on your lunch break.  so if you work in the area, and not way the hell in Rexdale like some of us losers, check it out.

Kathleen Turner Overdrive at Annex Wreckroom
Ok, I don't know this band at all, but that has to be the greatest band name ever!!  On further inspection, they seem to be a hardcore band... which kinda makes them cooler.

For a Few Dollars More playing at Bloor Cinema 9:30
Part 2 of Sergio Leone's brilliant Dollars trilogy.  The Good the Bad and the Ugly, (part 3) is playing on Sunday.  Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef are bounty hunters looking for the same man, Eastwood is at his best in this film, well... maybe not his best acting per say... but he looks good.  Bring your girlfriend.

Ok troops, I'll post the rest of the week later, I appreciate your patience, and would love to give everyone of you a big hug (man hug with a firm back slap).

kathleen turner overdrive was a proposed band name in the movie "high fidelity" i believe, for Jack Black's band.
