Track of The Week: Spacious Thoughts by N.A.S.A. feat Kool Keath and Tom Waits

I was rummaging through the newly arrived used bin at She Said Boom (as I will) when I came across a curious cover.

Hmmm.... who the hell is NASA? When I flipped the CD over I was faced with a guest list as long as my arm. I still don't know who NASA is, but they either have a lot of clout, or deep pockets. I could have picked one of many tracks on this CD, but when Tom Waits began singing in this song, I pretty much lost my shit. Kool Keith is Kool Keith, and that's, well, cool.

Anyways, if you get a chance, check out the rest of the album, or just pay a visit to their Myspace to hear more (I suggest checking out the Kanye West, Santigold, Lykke Li colab "Gifted". Ah, screw it, here it is)

for an album with so many names and so much hype i honestly found it really disappointing. the production is super busy but it all sounds really flat/lifeless at the same time.

but maybe that's just me, who knows.

I see where you're coming from. Not ever track is a gem for sure. But I think the songs that rock, REALLY rock.
